The Discover Scuba Diver course is a perfect opportunity for you to experience the beauty of the underwater world. A single adventure begins with an introduction from your instructor on the basics of theory, safety and equipment to prepare you for your first breath underwater. Il Grande Blu’s instructors  conduct this program firstly in a natural sea-water pool, where the water is shallow and so a perfect environment for your first experience. After the first orientational dive in the pool, your instructor and you will dive the famous Portofino Marine Park. There you will discover this unique location that offers an amazing abundance of sea life and formations.

Our goal is to make this an experience you will always remember and maybe even lead you to a new found passion !!

Minimum age required 10.
No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary.
To be in good physical condition.

You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a IGB istructor.
The program includes:
– Theory presentation.
– Basic scuba equipment workshop.
– Orientational dive in the pool
– Esploration dive in the Portofino Marine Park.

You may choose between 2 options:
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVER BOAT
Duration: Half Day
Logistics: 1 Shore dive + 1 Boat Dive

DISCOVER SCUBA DIVER BEACH
Duration: Half Day
Logistics: 2 Shore Dives

NOTE: during the duration of the program the student will be covered by the DAN Health Ensurance.

The required equipment is included in the price, which is:

  • Scuba tank
  • Buoyancy compensator (BCD)
  • Regulators
  • Wet suit
  • Fins & mask
  • Weights
